Targeting a lower blood pressure goal may decrease risk for developing memory problems and cognitive difficulties that precede decline into life-altering dementia, according to researchers who’ve conducted the largest study to address the question. Kristine Yaffe, UCSF professor and director of the Memory Disorders Clinic at the SFVAMC, comments on the study led by scientists at Wake Forest University.
